Classified Advertisements

This section is currently under construction. In the future, residents of Covington Lake can publish classified advertisements online for free. Only Covington Lake residents are allowed to take advantage of this service.

Guidelines about the submission process
- Advertising on the neighborhood website is provided as a free service. However, the Board of Directors reserves the right to remove or reject advertising content if it is deemed inappropriate for the website.
- Listing of classified advertisements does not necessarily imply that Covington Lake Property Owners Association endorses the various classified ads that are on the website.
- Listings will remain online for 3 months unless there are specific instructions to remove the classified ad prior to that time or a request is sent for an extension of time.
- Classified ads will usually be posted online between 48 hours and 7 days of receiving the ad.
Technical Requirements
Advertisements can be submitted either by text or by image. The following technical requirements must be met before submitting advertisements:
Text-based advertisements:
- 50 words or less
- File formats: plain text file (.txt), rich text file (.rtf), or Word document (.doc/.docx)
- Hyperlinks are allowed; please specify in the document
- Please specify a "header" for the name of the advertisement or company
Image-based advertisements:
- Less than 300KB file size
- Must have a width of 525 pixels or less
- File formats: JPG, GIF (no animations), PNG, TIFF, PDF
- Horizontal format (landscape) preferred
- If a link from the image to a website is required, please specify the link that the image should point towards
- Please specify a "header" for the name of the advertisement or company
